Praise for Amy

"…Amy is a very talented woman whose performances capture the essence of the needs of young people today…"

Norman J. Weinberger M.D.

It is a pleasure to endorse both the character and talent of Amy Rogell. I have known Amy as the mother of my patients for the past 15 years. I appreciate greatly her complete understanding of children, their motivation and needs. She is warm, kind, caring and dedicated to all that she pursues.

As you so doubt are aware, Amy is a very talented woman whose performances capture the essence of the needs of young people today.

She does so with humor and excites her audiences in an enticing and creative way. Her concept of song and motion for children is particularly welcomed at this time in our culture when children are less active, sedentary and overweight.

Amy has a wonderful future ahead of her, I believe, in the field of entertainment. She would be a delight to anyone who is considering her credentials.

Please do not hesitate to call me for additional information.

"…an important part of our music and movement curriculum..."

Kim McCormack, Director, United Church Nursery School

I am the director of a preschool in Rowayton, CT, The United Church Nursery School. On any given year, we serve approximately 60 children with early childhood educational programs for 2, 3 and 4 year olds. Music and movement are important ingredients to our curriculum, as are discussions and activities around healthy eating, lifestyles and the importance of moving our bodies.

Amy Rogell is an important part of our music and movement curriculum. Rarely a day passes when we cannot hear the music of one of her CD's being played in the classroom. The children just love her songs!!! Last year, Amy performed at a fund-raiser for the school and gave an incredible concert to a full house of area children and families. She had everyone on their feet, singing and dancing and moving. On other occasions, we have had Amy come into the school to conduct music and movement programs for our Three year old and Four year old classes. She is always a favorite among the teachers and children.

Amy has a unique ability to relate to preschool children in a way that encourages them to try new things. She is full of energy, playfulness and always positive. Her repertoire of songs and movement activities is vast and varied, and the children are always fully engaged. The giggles and the smiles on the faces of the children are testimony to the fact that they are having loads of fun, while learning and enjoying different ways to be active. Amy is clearly an expert in her chosen field, and we always look forward to her visits to our school.

…Her enthusiasm as she sings is infectious to children and adults…"

Mary Campagna, Teacher, Norwalk Community College

This letter is in support of Amy Rogell. I have known Amy personally and professionally for many years. Her enthusiasm as she sings is infectious to children and adults. During the times I have seen her work with children, the immediate response is that they jump up and dance the minute she begins to sing!
As an early childhood educator, Amy has inspired me and encouraged me to include gross motor activities in a variety of activities using her music as a base. The result has been parents asking where they can obtain these materials for use at home. Amy is truly dedicated to young children and their creativity. If you have further questions please contact me…

"…Amy is the best…a gift for creating charming, rhythmic, captivating tunes…"

Jo Anne Parady, Director, The Movement Center

Amy Rogell has taught in The Movement Center in Stamford and Wilton, CT for the last 10 years. As director of this program I have worked with many outstanding teachers and I can easily say that Amy is the best. She brings with her an enormous talent as a singer and composer as well as a deep understanding of how to connect with both children and parents alike. I have seen her in the classroom and in concert. Her exuberance and energy is contagious, her music is irresistible and she manages to get even the shyest child singing, clapping and dancing.

She has years of experience as a classroom teacher and a gift for creating charming, rhythmic, captivating tunes. She has a tremendous following in Fairfield County, CT. Her classes fill up in a hurry and she is constantly in demand for concerts and parties. Her CD's are enjoyed by all of her fans. It is time for her to share this talent with a much larger audience.

"…Amy's music allows children to use their imagination and to just be children…"

Kim Murphy, Early Childhood Ed. Director, Wilton Family YMCA

I am writing this letter of recommendation in reference to Amy Rogell. Amy has been our music teacher at the Wilton Family YMCA for approximately the past 10 years. Over the years, Amy's energetic style has become contagious. She has a way of engaging anyone in her presence. Amy's bubbly personality is shown through all her music and movement activities. She not only incorporates the basic songs and nursery rhymes that children have grown up with over the years, but she also includes several of her own renditions and songs that she has written and created. Children love her "Sticky Bubblegum" or "GooGoo and GaaGaa" songs and many other of her catchy tunes.

As a mother of three children who have also gone through this Nursery School program, I am often found humming one of Amy's song in the car with my three year old. Amy's music allows children to use their imagination and to just be children. I have been lucky to not only have Amy as an employee of mine but I have also seen the joy in the children's eyes when Amy has visited.

I fully recommend Amy. Anyone who comes in contact with her will see all that she has to offer. Amy is always striving to give 100%. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me…

"…thank you for all the wonderful original songs…that inspire and motivate children to get up and move…"

Ellen "Watermelon" Kaplan, Dance Teacher, Pre-school Director – YMCA

I'm writing this fan letter to thank you for all the wonderful original songs you have produced. I have been a dance teacher and pre-school director at a YMCA for the past 14 years. On of the most difficult parts of my job is to find material that will inspire and motivate the children to get up and move. Your songs always end up being the favorites of my students, especially the one called "Jump" and my personal favorite "Holiday Jump".

With obesity in kids on the rise, it is more important than ever for me to find creative ways for them to exercise. I am so grateful that there are sources like your CD's available to make my job easier. I can't wait for you to produce more because there's such limited sources available, and I find that the adults (including myself) enjoy your songs as much as the kids.

Ellen "Watermelon" Kaplan, Dance Teacher, Pre-school Director / Instructor, YMCA – Rye, NY

"…if laughter, is the best medicine, perhaps we should give more of Amy Rogell's prescriptive humor to our kids…"
